26 Oct CRESCENDO, Gold partner of the Agora virtualization and cloud conference
Agora Group organized Wednesday – October 26 the Agora Technology Conference on Virtualization, Cloud Computing, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest. Crescendo participated with HP Romania as the Gold partner of the event, having a tradition of over 15 years in implementing Hewlett-Packard technology.
In the opening session, CGI Council member Dragos Dinca made an introduction to the theme of the event, trying to define and balance the various cloud computing, software as service and implementation models. Furthermore, Eduard Bodor, Central Europe Data Center Business Development Manager at APC by Schneider Electric, said: “Virtualization is a fantastic tool in the tool kit, but should come with a warning label about the implications on which many users may not understand or even know about them, such as the current capacity or the cooling power needed.”

Cristian Mierlea, CRESCENDO’s Business Unit Manager, IT Infrastructure Solutions, has talked about the problems faced by managers and the decisions they need to take when they want to migrate to cloud and virtualization solutions: when an infrastructure upgrade is needed, where data is stored and how it can be protected, what to be virtualized, what technology and how migration is managed.
